At right is my Great-Great-Grandfather Ralph Usher Smith who was a Mormon convert from Durham England. He was married to Emma and the couple had 8 children. He practiced plural marriage and had four other wives.

At right is my Great-Great-Grandfather Hans "Jacob" Keller.

He was also a Mormon convert and married to Anna Regina. They had several children including adopted son George Keller, who was of African/Swedish desent.

At right is my Great-Great-Grandfather Samuel Smith, Sarah Jane's husband. 

Samuel practiced "plural marriage" and had five wives with Sarah Jane being his second wife.

My Great-Great-Grandfather Jonah Evans. 

He was a Mormon convert and married three times. His first wife, my great-great-grandmother Frances Bowen, died shortly after arriving stateside. . Jonah quickly remarried a widow. He also practiced plural marriage and married again to a 16-year-year old.

At left is Emma Girdlestone Ridges Smith my great-great-grandmother and my inspiration in researching my family tree. She was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with her parents Thomas and Mary Betts Girdleston. Emma was a survivor of the ill-fated Willie Handcart Company. Her parents died along the trail. 
She married twice first Joseph Ridges who built the organ in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. She had one child with him before divorcing. She later married Ralph Smith, my Great Great Grandfather. They had eight children

At left is my Great-Great-Grandmother Anna Regina Dierauer Hemman Kellar. She was also a Mormon convert and sailed to the U.S. with her husband, Hans Jacob Keller. They were married on board of the ship they were traveling. 

B. 8 April 1837: Berneck, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland.

D: 05 Oct. 1892 Manti, Sanpete, Utah, United States.

At left is my Great-Great-Grandmother Sarah Jane Ingram Smith. She was also a Mormon convert from England and sailed to the United States with her family and her future husband Samuel Smith. She was his plural wife and second wife. 

B: 1839 Worcester, Worcestershire, England

D: 4 Sept 1872 Bingham County, Box Elder, Utah, United States

At left is my Great-Great-Grandmother Margaret Olsen who married twice with her second huband being my Great-Great Grandfather Jens Peter Christensen. They were later divorced with Margaret dying a year later.

At left is my Great-Great-Grandmother Frances Bowen. She was the first wife of my Great-Great Grandfather Jonah Evans. The couple had seven children with five living to maturity.
